Sister Ripley & Reece joined the Mountain Girl family in September 2019. They turned two years old on 7-22-21. My where has the time gone!
The queen of Mountain Girl Farm and still the boss of the barnyard. Chloe keeps the girls in check as well as on schedule for the day.
Without her supervision there would not be peace and tranquility in the barnyard.
Our hens are raised as naturally as possible without cages. They roam and forage all day, every day. These girls love to be out in the pasture to hunt for worms, bugs, seeds and their favorite grasses and foliage.
The ducks love drilling for worms and snails under the fallen trees and branches.
Our resident Guinea fowl lost is mate to a predator and has since become quite the character with a unique voice on the farm. He can often be seen hanging about the cars during his break from forging.
